There is not a lot of clean water in Africa. We thought of a way how we could clean the water in Africa. First we thought of a way how we could get clean water in the middle of Africa. But that did not work.
Oplossing
We thought of a way , so we could get clean water for the poor Africans. So our idea is the “Morpheus”. We have a waterpump that balances on metal poles on the bottem, it sucks water up with a vacuüm. The water that is sucked up, is transported to a cylinder. In the cylinder water get filtered. A furnace evaporates the water and it gets in an other cylinder in the middle. In the middle is the clean water and it goes to a big storage. When it is in this storage it is ready to go to the houses. Calculations:
Waterpump: Vacuüm, how does it work? The vacuüm increases preasure so the water goes up.
Transport-cylinder: the vacuüm increases preasure , so it goes to the filtering cylinder.
Filtering cylinder: The filtering cylinder is 20 m³. In the filtering cylinder water gets really hot by a furnauce, so it evaporates and then goes to the cylinder in the middle. The cylinder can contain 20000 litres of water, heat the furnauce to the good temperature (120°C) we need electricity, 104,750 kj to filter it once, you can filter it once a day with 2 ha of solarpanels.
